The digitalization of public bodies will increase transparency and minimize corruption. This was discussed during a meeting between Almaty Mayor Bauyrzhan Baybek and the Chairman of the Agency for Public Service and Anti-Corruption Alik Spekbayev in the public reception room of the city mayor's office Open Almaty.
The Open Almaty project has proved effective in less than a year of activity. More than 16,000 appeals were received in the public reception, 78% of which were resolved on the spot. Excluding contact with an official and minimizing the timing of execution are the main tools in the fight against corruption.
«We originally launched the portal and later opened a front office. 60% of calls are received on the phone. The recording of phone calls is recorded, analyzed. Another 20% of citizens' appeals come via the Internet. These are the systemic issues on which you need to attach a photo, supporting documents,» - said about the work of Open Almaty, the chairman of the board of the «Almaty City Development Center» Zhanna Tulegenova.
Representatives of state bodies, development institutes and utilities of the city conduct receptions in the public reception office Open Almaty. Twice a week there are private meetings of the management of the departments with the population. The information base of the Open Almaty website contains more than 700 algorithms of life situations, 100 scripts of quick answers and about 2,000 reference materials.
Today, the level of automation of public services in Almaty is 63% (81 out of 128 services in demand). In 2018, 10 more of Almaty's most relevant services will be translated into electronic format on the principle of «paper-free«.
