The «smart» transport system will work this year. The project was developed by the Almaty Development Center and will be implemented in conjunction with the international company Cisco. The main functions of the program are monitoring traffic flows on the streets, counting the passage of pedestrians on Panfilov Street and fixing vacant spaces in paid parking lots. The developers plan to include the intelligent transport system in May, and now the necessary equipment is being purchased. By the way, this project is one of the main ones in the Smart City concept.
«A fairly extensive list has been defined for the city of Almaty, consisting of eight or nine projects that will be implemented in 2018. Some projects, which I said will be implemented in the pilot version, some projects already we want to launch fully into industrial operation. It often depends on how big the project is,» said Ruslan Mamunov, head of the digitalization office at the Almaty Development Center.
By the way, another major project is «Electronic CAO.» Its implementation is planned for next year, now a system is being developed on which the program will work. Through the application, housemates will be able to communicate with condominium managers, control the cost of housing maintenance and contact other government agencies.
«At the moment we have already developed a pilot project plan, it will take place in two stages, that is, respectively, the first stage, the second. In each stage we plan to connect about forty governing bodies, that is, different forms, it can be CAO, or it can be an LLP, or whatever,» said the administrator of the project «Electronic CAO» Bauyrzhan Shadayev.
