During the meeting, issues related to social development were discussed, including expanding employment opportunities and social integration for people with special needs, and promising areas for collaboration at the city level were identified.
Developing labor inclusion is a priority area of state social policy and is being implemented within the framework of the Social Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Concept of Social Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2030, and the Comprehensive Socioeconomic Development Plan for Almaty, which envisages the creation of an inclusive urban environment and equal opportunities for all categories of citizens.
These measures are aimed at ensuring access to education, vocational training, and employment for people with special needs, as well as increasing their social and economic independence. Inclusion and social support are under the special control of the state and are an important part of the policy for the formation of a just and sustainable society.
During the meeting, Zakhira Begaliyeva presented the results of the ITeachMe social project, which aims to train people with special needs in modern digital and professional skills. To date, the program has reached over 1,000 people, facilitating their future employment and economic integration.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in developing cooperation and agreed to jointly implement initiatives aimed at promoting labor inclusion, supporting social projects, and creating conditions for the full participation of people with special needs in the city's socio-economic life.
The Almaty City Development Center will continue its systematic work within the framework of the city's Comprehensive Development Plan and state social policy aimed at improving quality of life and ensuring equal opportunities for all residents of the metropolis.
