As part of their work to promote inclusion and support children with disabilities, representatives of the Almaty City Development Centre visited the Kenes Comprehensive Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disabilities to learn about its activities and working conditions.
During the visit, the CDC staff inspected the centre's rehabilitation and specialised facilities, talked to the management and specialists, and discussed current and pressing issues that the institution faces in its daily activities.
Particular attention was paid to issues of comprehensive rehabilitation of children, the creation of an accessible and comfortable environment, and the development of inclusive approaches in the social services system. These areas are consistently identified by the Head of State as priorities in social policy and require systematic and consistent development.
Following the meeting, possible areas for further cooperation were identified, aimed at improving the quality of services provided and improving conditions for children with disabilities and their families.
The Almaty City Development Centre will continue to work on building sustainable partnerships with public and social organisations that contribute to the formation of an inclusive urban environment and improve the quality of life of city residents.
