Representatives of the Almaty City Development Center JSC visited the Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering (KazGASA), one of the country's leading educational and scientific centers in the fields of architecture, construction, urban studies, and design.
The visit began with the Center's staff participating in the state certification committee for the defense of the diploma projects of students majoring in Architectural Design. The future specialists presented contemporary concepts for public spaces, architectural objects, and design solutions aimed at creating a comfortable, sustainable, and human-centered urban environment.
Following the defense of their diploma projects, KazGASA Rector Bakhtiyar Sabdenaliyev personally gave the ACDC delegation a detailed tour of the university. During the visit, the students were introduced to modern educational and research facilities, specialized laboratories, project studios, and innovative spaces where students and faculty work on real-world problems in architecture, construction, engineering, and urban development. Of particular interest were the laboratories for digital modeling, construction technologies, materials science, engineering research, and architectural design. Meeting participants were introduced to modern equipment, educational methods, and research projects that enable the training of international-level specialists and the implementation of innovative approaches to urban development.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for long-term cooperation between the ACDC and KazGASA. Work is currently underway to prepare a memorandum of cooperation that will combine the scientific, expert, and practical potential of the two organizations to address pressing development challenges in Almaty.
KazGASA expressed its readiness to provide expert and scientific-methodological support to urban projects, participate in the development of public space concepts, architectural and urban design solutions, conduct joint research, and engage faculty, experts, and talented students in urban development initiatives.
For the Almaty City Development Center JSC, collaboration with the country's leading specialized university opens up additional opportunities for developing modern urban policy, implementing innovative solutions, and engaging young professionals in designing Almaty's future.
Meeting participants noted that the interaction of science, education, and practice is an important prerequisite for the city's sustainable development and enables the creation of a more comfortable, safe, and modern city for its residents.
