The large-scale reconstruction of the Natalia Sats State Academic Russian Theatre for Children and Youth in Almaty is approaching its final stage. As one of Kazakhstan's most renowned cultural institutions, the theatre is undergoing a comprehensive modernization designed to preserve its architectural heritage while significantly enhancing its technical capabilities and visitor experience.

The project includes a major overhaul of the historic theatre building, featuring the modernization of engineering systems, renovation of interior spaces, and restoration of key architectural elements. In addition, a new auxiliary building has been constructed adjacent to the theatre, expanding its functional capacity and providing additional space for creative and operational activities.

The upgraded facilities will enable the theatre to stage productions of various scales and genres using modern stage technologies, while also creating new opportunities for educational programs, cultural events, and innovative artistic projects.

Particular attention has been paid to improving accessibility and comfort for audiences, creating better working conditions for performers and technical staff, and ensuring that the facility meets modern safety standards.

Construction work is now in its final phase. Once completed, the theatre company will begin preparations for the upcoming autumn season, which will feature both audience favorites and new productions.

The reconstruction of the Natalia Sats Theatre forms part of Almaty's broader strategy to modernize its cultural infrastructure, preserve landmark cultural institutions, and create contemporary conditions for the continued development of performing arts in the city.
