During a visit to the Almaty City Development Center, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev was presented with OpenAlmaty's public reception office to address non-standard life situations not covered by public services regulations. In the seven months since opening, OpenAlmaty has received more than 18,000 applications, 78% of which have been promptly resolved on the spot.
Since September 2017, about 80% of citizens' appeals are processed in the Public Admissions Office «Open Almaty«. The fundamental difference between the Open Almaty project and the Service Centre is that it allows the population to solve non-standard life situations. Turning to the public reception, the resident of Almaty can quickly solve the problem with the replacement of the hot water meter or, for example, register the child for the queue in kindergarten. Government standards for these services are generally non-existent or non-compliant. Today, more than 700 algorithms have been developed to solve the life situations of citizens, all of them are posted on the Open Almaty website. Registration of applications through the components of the Open Almaty project allows for timeliness and quality of execution to be monitored, as well as to analyze the most frequent causes of complaints from the population.
To date, the portal Open Almaty has a map of the city's park improvement plans, squares, yard areas, reconstruction of the water networks, repair of street lighting, installation of street lighting, gasification, overhaul of roads, reconstruction of underground passages, sidewalks, punching streets, average road repairs, construction of overhead pedestrian crossings, construction and reconstruction of roads, construction of transport interchanges, installation of bicycle paths, installation of stops, construction of kindergartens, housing construction and reconstruction of schools, construction of water supply facilities and gasification.
«Open Almaty» receives specialists from the Almaty Mayor's Office, representatives of the Prosecutor's Office of Almaty, the Internal Affairs Department, the Emergency Department, the Department of Public Service and Anti-Corruption Agency, the Service Centre, mediators, The Almaty Heat Networks LLP, the State utility company on the right of economic management Almatysu, seconded to the project. At the same time, a legal consultant is received once a week.
Also, the Head of state was presented with leading start-up projects - Chocofamily, Nommi, SmartSatu, which are an online hypermarket for ordering food and selling tickets, the development of Wi-Fi router to connect to the Internet around the world and a platform for turnover between suppliers of goods and consumers.
The Head of state noted that a lot of attention is being paid to the implementation of the Digital Kazakhstan program.
«There are a specially appointed minister, a vice-minister, and each ministry identifies the individuals who deal with these issues. We must not keep up with what is happening in the world. I hope that through digitalization we will quickly increase productivity, especially in manufacturing companies,» the President said.
