In the run-up to the holidays and summer holidays, many residents and visitors of Almaty are wondering where and how to spend the weekend. The answer to this pressing question was provided by experts of the Visit Almaty Tourism and External Relations Information Center of the Almaty Office of Tourism and External Relations.

During the roundtable meeting, which took place on the Open Day on May 6 at the public reception office «Open Almaty«, the issues of development of new tourist routes in Almaty and the surrounding area, the creation of quality tourist products and mechanisms for promoting the beloved city were discussed.

«In the near future, we will present the first single tourist map Almaty Pass to the public. The project is a system that will include all the most interesting tourist attractions. In fact, it is a payment card, where the cost of excursions has already been paid. We have simplified its use as much as possible, provided a flexible system of discounts, tried to fully cover the existing travel products on the market. Initially, the map will be available only to foreign tourists,» - said representatives of the TIC Visit Almaty.

The owner of the alexhunter.asia.kz tourism project Alexander Gegeris not only welcomed this idea, but also put forward a number of proposals. His company has been in the Kazakhstan tourism industry for 12 years and specializes in hiking and cycling tours, mountain trips in the Ile Alatau, Tian Shan, Altai, Himalayas and the Alps.

«We need to make contact with foreign tourists. The Almaty Pass card should include absolutely all market players - whether they are large recognized companies or novice instructor guides. This product should be convenient and accessible for any wallet, because in Almaty come not only business guests, but also lovers of mountain peaks from CIS countries, «- said Alexander Gegeris.
The list of invited participants of the event included players of the tourist market, tour operators and consultants.
