The Almaty City Development Centre hosted a meeting with representatives of the film industry and the public sector who are working on the development of domestic films and TV series, as well as the creation of modern content. The discussion was held in an open format. Participants raised key issues facing the industry, ranging from infrastructure and the organisation of the filming process to support for local projects and interaction with city authorities. The dialogue was substantive and focused on practical solutions.
Special emphasis was placed on proposals from the professional community. Industry representatives announced initiatives aimed at creating a more transparent and convenient environment for film production in Almaty.
The meeting was attended by actress and producer Venera Nigmatulina, Aldongar Production producer Aliya Uvalzhanova, film director Serik Abishev, head of the film industry department at Unico Play Rustam Yusupov, Anuar Kenzhibayev, producer, media manager and organiser of cultural initiatives, and others.
Representatives of the Almaty City Development Centre noted that regular dialogue with the professional community allows them to take into account the real needs of the industry and build effective cooperation in the implementation of urban initiatives in the field of culture. Such meetings have been held on a weekly basis since mid-December last year. All proposals and initiatives raised during the discussion will be considered and used in further work.
