Against the backdrop of Kazakhstan's intensified international contacts, including foreign visits by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the United States and agreements reached to expand investment and technological cooperation, as well as a recent meeting between the Almaty Mayor and the new US Ambassador, an official meeting with CONYERS JAN KYLE was held at the Almaty City Development Center.

Mr. Kyle is a representative of Amazon and a member of international sports organizations—the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) and Virtus, which unites athletes with intellectual disabilities. His professional work focuses on the development of international projects at the intersection of technology, sports, and infrastructure.

As part of his visit to Kazakhstan, he is also traveling to an international competition—the FIS Eastern Europe Cup cross-country skiing stage in Shchuchinsk, underscoring the importance of the sporting component of his trip.

During the meeting, the ACDC team presented the Almaty development plan, urban digitalization priorities, and key infrastructure initiatives. Particular attention was paid to the tourism and sports potential of the Shymbulak resort as a flagship winter tourism destination.

The city's systematic preparation for hosting the 2029 Asian Winter Games was also discussed, including the development of infrastructure, the service ecosystem, and the implementation of modern technological solutions.

The ACDC notes that the Amazon representative's visit, as well as his participation in the activities of international sports federations, reflect the growing interest of the global technology and sports communities in Almaty as a dynamically developing metropolis and a promising international venue.
