Our foreign guests often note that we do not appreciate what we have: the beauty of our mountains, lakes, our climate, as well as what the administration does for its inhabitants.
Teachers from the German University of Justus Liebig in Giessen, specializing in economic geography, came to Almaty to study its natural landscape, social and economic development and transport infrastructure.
During the visit, they were presented with all the work of the public reception office of the city of Almaty OpenAlmaty. The fact that any Almaty resident can come to one place and solve any life situations related to a wide range of issues, such as roads, landscaping yards, social benefits, calculation of tax deductions, receipt of referral to kindergarten, mediation of disputes and conflicts, etc.
«OpenAlmaty is a very serious and useful project for people. Unfortunately, we don't have that in the city. This is a convenient service for the citizen, because we, if we need to solve any communal issue, go to different parts of the city,» - said the teacher of transport geography Michael Holenhost.
Teachers told that they loved our city and expressed a desire to bring a group of students to familiarize themselves and share experiences in our city from next year.
Guests also noted the difference in culture of the residents of our city and cities in Germany, having read the grateful feedback to OpenAlmaty on social networks. According to them, it is not customary for local authorities to thank the local authorities for their work in Germany.
And we express our great gratitude to our Almaty people, who actively leave feedback about us. It inspires and motivates us to get better for you!
