Konirbayev Bayan

Graduated from Almaty University of Energy and Communications with a degree in Space Communication Systems and Management, obtained second higher education in Economics at Kazakh Economic University. Holder of a Master degree in industrial engineering from Tsinghua University, a Master degree in applied business research, and a DBA from Swiss Business School. Received a post-graduate diploma in Digital Business from Emeritus Institute in collaboration with Columbia University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Professional career started in 2011, working abroad in Chinese and American companies for more than 7 years. Grown up from a developer engineer position at Aeonmed to Deputy Director of external development at HY/Tencent AI Lab. Upon returning to Kazakhstan and before entering public service, worked in JSC «NAC «Kazatomprom» as a leading manager in Sales Department and Director of Business Transformation Department.

On 23 September 2019, was appointed as Head of Almaty city Department of Digitalization.

Since February 28, 2022, he has been elected a member of the Board of Directors of JSC «Development Center of Almaty».
