SerkanKaptan, Deputy CEO of «TAV Airport Holding» - JSC «Almaty City Development Centre, a Turkish company, informed the Head of State about the construction of a new air harbor terminal. The cost of the project is estimated at 150 million euros, the total area of the terminal will be 55,000 square meters, passenger traffic - 6 million people per year. The terminal is expected to open in the second quarter of 2022.
Kassym-JomartTokayev expressed hope that after the reconstruction is completed, Almaty airport will become the largest aviation hub in Central Asia.
The President was also presented with a project to build a 784-meter junction at the intersection of Bukhtarminskaya Street and the Kuljinsky Tract.
According to the Head of State, this facility will improve the situation on the roads and make the life of citizens more comfortable.
The Head of State visited the mobile screening center for coronavirus detection.
During a working trip to Almaty, Kassym-JomartTokayev familiarized himself with the activities of a new mobile screening center for coronavirus infection created by South Korean technology.
The President heard the report of Mayor BakytzhanSagintayev on the epidemiological situation in the city.
The leaders of the Korean company «Medical Partners Korea» Kim Dayong and Min Khisuk told the Head of State about the capabilities of the mobile laboratory and the accumulated experience of testing on the «Drive-through» system.
Kassym-JomartTokayev had a conversation with the doctors and expressed his gratitude to them for their selfless work.

The final point of the program of the president's working trip to Almaty was a visit to the House of Social Services.
The President familiarized himself with the progress of the reconstruction of the facility, which will provide the socially vulnerable segments of the population with the widest range of services on the principle of «one-window» and taking into account the life circumstances of each applicant.
The Head of State supported the creation of such a center and stressed the importance of continuing to support the population.
«Despite the pandemic, we need to deal with the social welfare of our citizens. This is a priority and strategic task. That is why I support the construction of this single social security Centre. I believe that this is the right initiative, which, of course, should be effectively implemented», - said Kassym-JomartTokayev.
