On December 20, 2018, the Almaty City Development Center (ACDC, Center) received a certificate of quality management compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2015. The audit was carried out by the American company Orion Registrar, Inc. (US), which is one of the top 10 North American compliance authorities.
The scope of the certificate: «Advisory services in the field of urbanism. Digitalization of the city's projects. Financial expertise of the city's projects. Management of the interaction between citizens and the city administration - OpenAlmaty.»
The certification confirmed that the Almaty City Development Center is committed and guarantees a commitment to transparency, effective management decisions, data reliability, and a commitment to leadership in its direction.
The audit touched on various aspects of the Centre's work: strategic management, personnel management, documentation, etc.
The certification process requires mandatory compliance with industry competence: whether the ADC has a team capable of performing processes at the appropriate level, whether responsibility and authority are properly divided between staff, whether an effective well-established control system is established, whether documents are protected from loss or misuse, whether their storage and destruction procedures are met, these and many other aspects have been worked out, which generally allow for continuous improvement of the quality of services and customer satisfaction. In general, the successful certification audit demonstrates the commitment of management and employees to the goals and objectives of the quality management system and the strategic desire to improve the performance of the CRA units,» said Aktan Nusibaliyev, Key Customer Manager at Orion Registrar, Inc.
Implementation of ISO 9001:2015 requirements increases the advantage over organizations that do not have such certification, expands cooperation with domestic and international partners, and gives an advantage in tenders and procurement.
Today, the Almaty City Development Center is negotiating cooperation with regional and foreign companies in the examination of projects, developing concepts for creating a comfortable urban environment, building and developing a digital space, and building processes and regulating interaction between the authorities and the population.
The Almaty City Development Center was created on the basis of the Almaty Mayor's Office's decree No.2/331 of May 30, 2008, with 100% state participation in the statutory capital.
