The center of development of Almaty with the support of the mayor of the metropolis launches a city competition - the hackathon Almaty SmartCity Challenge. This was announced at a briefing in the press center of the Almaty Mayor's Office by representatives of the Almaty City Development Center.
On October 5-6, at the Urban Projects Laboratory of Abay Ave., 90, domestic software developers will join teams to develop and present new digital services and products. It will take 24 hours to implement from the idea to the prototype.
The winners will share a total prize pool of 3 million tenge. Also, all participants will have the opportunity to present new digital services and products to the leadership of Almaty and leading experts, discuss the implementation and implementation of pilot projects with the support of the Almaty City Development Center.
From September 18 to October 3, applications from both teams and individual participants are open, from which teams will be formed (each team member must register). Once the registration form has been completed, a confirmation letter will be sent to the participants' email address. Access to the Q-lab will be carried out by badges.
The first day of the hackathon will begin with the formation of teams, pitching ideas, acquaintance with mentors and juries, consisting of experts, entrepreneurs and heads of domestic companies, etc. Participants will also receive assignments on topics such as ecology, traffic and traffic jams, creative economy, medicine, security, public transport, education and housing.
On the final day, the teams will present their prototypes to the jury. All participants of the hackathon will receive certificates, the winners of the hackathon will receive cash prizes of the mayor: 1.5 million tenge - for the first place, 1 million tenge - for the second place, the 3rd place will receive 500,000 Tenge. The criteria for evaluating projects by the jury will be the idea of the project, its implementation (make-up, interface, functionality), as well as accompanying materials (presentation, description, presentation). The main condition is that the project should be developed directly on the hackathon and represent a new idea, without repetition and/or continuation of the early projects of the participants.

3. If you successfully pass the individual registration to assemble a team of 2 to 5 people.
